Pancake Day was a flipping success!

Pancake Day was a flipping success!

Our pupils enjoyed stacks of delicious pancakes, topped with fresh strawberries and cream, traditional lemon and sugar as well as a rich and indulgent banoffee option.

Whether they went fruity or caramel-sweet, every bite was pure joy!

Today, we brought all the fun of the fair to the table with our exciting Carnival Themed Menu!

From savoury delights to sweet treats, every bite was a thrill ride for the taste buds.

🌭 Bumper Car Hot Dogs – Juicy hot dogs with all the trimmings, packed with flavors that hit the spot just like a classic fairground ride!

🍔 Ferris Wheel Veggie Burgers – A towering delight of delicious plant-based goodness, stacked high to keep your taste buds spinning with excitement.

🥔 Swing Boat Jacket Potatoes – Fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and loaded with toppings to take your flavour experience to new heights!

🍩 Waltzer Iced Donuts – Swirls of icing and a burst of sweetness in every bite – a true fairground favorite to end on a high note.

Harvest Assembly Celebration

Today, our school had the pleasure of hosting a special Harvest Assembly, led by Mrs Froggatt from St Marys Church, Humberstone. The children learned about the importance of Harvest and how it offers an opportunity to help those in need.

It was inspiring to see the whole school come together for this event. As you can see from the photo, the generosity of our community made a huge impact, with a substantial collection of donations.

All of these items have been donated to *Open Hands*, a Leicester-based charity that supports local people in need. Thank you to everyone who contributed and made this Harvest season truly meaningful!

At Humberstone Academy we want our children to learn about sustainability, healthy living, and the environment around us.

The children have been planting their own vegetables and flowers and it has been amazing seeing the garden grow.

The vegtables have been used in school. It is a great way of showing children how we can grow our own food and where our food comes from.

The flowers also attract wildlife such as butterflies and other interesting mini beasts!

Together with Mrs Kittridge and Mrs Breed, the children have enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of the garden, and seeing their vegetables and flowers grow each week.
